New Story Mission Statement

Offering Sessions in PSYCH-K ™ & Hakomi Therapy

What is Hakomi Therapy?

Hakomi Therapy is an experiential, body-centered and mindfulness based process for psychological, spiritual and mind-body healing.

Developed in 1981, Hakomi is a gentle and powerful therapeutic method that is taught worldwide.

Five essential principles are integral to the Hakomi method and inform the techniques and approach. They are:

We use mindful self-awareness, curiosity and discover self-understanding in a respectful, gentle and non-judgmental way. We honor the wisdom of being attentive to present experience, the felt sense of things and the truth that our bodies carry with them. What draws people to this work? To name a few... a desire to recover from old injuries or accidents, relationship issues, ambivalence, confusion, stresses from childhood, a longing for embodied creativity and the desire to be more fully in tune with oneself.

Concetta Antonelli CHP, LMT, is a certified practitioner of the Hakomi Method and has trained in NYC and in Portland, with over four years of study. Her private practice is in Lake Oswego.

What is PSYCH-K?

PSYCH-K is an effective and easy way to change unwanted attitudes and beliefs that are holding you back at an unconscious level of the mind, where it counts. With PSYCH-K, you can learn self-empowering tools to “re-write” limiting beliefs and change old patterns for a life of peace, love and abundance.

PSYCH-K is:

PSYCH-K techniques allow communication directly with the subconscious to test for limiting beliefs and then produce a state of mind that is receptive to change. This process is called a balance, which allows us to be in a whole-brain state, because the right and left hemispheres of the brain are in balance, and in simultaneous communication with each other. This seeds the ground for activating our potential and creating and supporting change in our lives.

Concetta Antonelli CHP, LMT, has been trained as a Facilitator in both basic and advanced PSYCH-K work since 2008 and is passionate about the potential this method has to create healing and change.
